Bush Insurance Agency is proudly owned and operated by Curtis McLaughlin and Kristy Somsel, who purchased the agency in September 2016 from founder Matt Bush. Together, our team brings decades of local expertise to West Michigan.
Agency Timeline

1984: Founder Matt Bush enters the insurance industry, later moving to the independent market in 1990 to offer clients better choices and broader coverages.

1996: Kristy Somsel joins forces with Matt, helping lay the groundwork to officially establish the Bush Insurance Agency office in 2000.

2003: Curtis McLaughlin joins the team, sparking a new era of steady growth and expanded carrier partnerships.
